Carol Hammond retired in May 2010 from a 35-year teaching career. She taught English at a community college for the last 25 years, including women's and world literature and all levels of composition. To the sometimes frustration of family members and neighbors, she likes to talk endlessly about her new passions: history and genealogy. She will also wax enthusiastic about movies, travel, book club. her dog Milo and her favorite author Charlotte Bronte. Her goal is to write a daily theme essay that works in every single one of her interests.
Megan Hammond is a graduate of Mills College (BA English w/ Creative Writing, 2004) and the University of Brighton, UK (MA Information Studies, 2006). She is a Chartered Librarian and an essayist, cartoonist and observer of things. After living in England for seven years, she returned to the US in June 2010, and is currently seeking employment in the library and information services profession.
